COLLISION COURSE DANCE BATTLE HAS RETURNED!
SUNDAY 23 AUGUST - 2.30PM - AT THE SPOT STUDIO, LEEDERVILLE
A RASA AUS AND JAMAICA DANCE & CULTURE ENTERTAINMENT COLLABORATION! On Sunday 23 August 2026, we're bringing back Collision Course with new energy and new intentions! A 1v1 Openstyle event that focuses on giving dancers a fun challenge and the chance to experience different musical worlds in the battle realm.
As dancers, we’re always adapting and finding new ways to connect with music. Krump and Dancehall each carry their own history and is notable for bringing a unique sound and energy.
Our intention is to encourage dancers embracing these cultural music genres, trusting the music and their freestyle instincts and discovering new ways to get down!
Founded in 2015 taking place at Fyah Dance Complex and making an appearance in 2017 at Alpha Dance Studio, Collision Course was created as a meeting point for dancers from different styles, backgrounds and communities to come together through battle, exchange and expression.
This event celebrates the moments where movement languages intersect. Hip Hop, Krump, Breaking, Popping, House and freestyle practitioners stepped into the same space to challenge and inspire. It provides a platform for dancers to showcase their individuality, test their skills and contribute to the ongoing evolution of street dance culture in Perth/Boorloo. Through battles and cyphers, the event encourages participants to step outside of their comfort zones and engage with the wider dance ecosystem.
At its heart, Collision Course embodies the essence of exchange that lives within street dance culture; where styles collide, perspectives expand and dancers are invited to discover not only what makes them unique but what connects them to the community.
