Together, Ian and Nadiah have spent decades cultivating spaces for honest expression, storytelling, social change and transformation through movement. Their work bridges street dance, theatre, education and community practice, creating experiences that are raw, reflective and deeply human.
Ian “H.O.O.D.” de Mello is recognised as a pioneer of Perth’s Krump movement and street dance culture. With over 18 years of international teaching, judging and performance experience across Australia, South East Asia, New Zealand, Canada and Los Angeles, Ian is known worldwide for his philosophy and uncompromising approach to expression. His artistry extends beyond dance into music production and sound engineering, shaping immersive worlds that invite truth, emotion and powerful storytelling through performance.
Nadiah Biddle is an internationally recognised educator, mentor and artist whose work is grounded in cultural identity, ancestral consciousness and self-discovery. Drawing from extensive training across Krump, Hip Hop, W*acking, Animation, mobility practices and cultural dance forms, Nadiah brings a holistic and deeply personal approach to movement. Her experience facilitating programs in schools, prisons, studios and communities across Australia and overseas reflects her commitment to empowerment, connection and healing through dance.
As collaborators, Ian and Nadiah share a vision of art as both practice and lifestyle: one that allows people to reconnect with themselves, their stories and each other. Through RASA, they continue to create performances, workshops and community experiences that honour individuality, challenge expectation and celebrate authentic expression.
