Easy apps for dancers to use!
What a time it is to be tech-savvy and be responsible for your own creations. I am so honoured to be working collaboratively with exceptional dance artist, Jaja Vankova on a new Vimeo series called Dance Business.
Jump starting or sustaining your dance career; this Vimeo series is an epic addition to your browser bookmark if you’re a working dancer, choreographer and artist alike that needs the ‘How To’s’ and tools. I am excited to have shared two classes [30-40 minutes] that have supported not only my own dance career but for also many other artists that I have worked with for over 5 years.
My favourite class that I want you to purchase is Business Made Easy! This is for those that want to stick to a small budget and still identify how they want to portray themselves on the world wide web because truth be told, outsourcing your marketing can become expensive if you don’t know what you have to offer and you don’t know who you’re talking to.
Here are some apps that I get to break down and show you how to use in my Business Made Easy class:
Calendly.com
Minimise the back and forth from your clients and just book your meeting with minimal clicks! All you need to do is work out all the time slots that you are free during the week and what platform you’ll take your meeting; in-person? Supply an address. Online? Let’s do Zoom or Google Meet.
You’ll have your own specialised link to your calendar that you can send to clients. So easy!Canva.com
Everyone should know Canva by now! This is a revelation that needed to happen. Create anything and everything!
You can create your own flyers, stylize your own text images that you want to post on socials, customise your reel covers, create pro YouTube cover art and create stunning proposals for your next music video treatment! What’s even better is that you have so many templates to guide you on creating a unique project.
Canva is always improving their workspace so make sure to sign up for their newsletters to get the latest update.Splice
[Mobile App] Great for dancers who just need to get their video really quickly edited, still looking good and ready to publish to their socials. There are so many fonts, transitions and sounds to choose from. They also provide many aspect ratios that we all NEED to use for Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. They have made it super easy, free and accessible.
These apps have worked a treat for me and my career. They’re quick, easy and SIMPLE so they don’t become time consuming just so I can share my art to the world.
